Where Art meets Technology: the human stories behind FAB300’s Grand Opening

Behind every milestone are the people who give it meaning. ✨
At the grand opening of FAB300 in Novara, Italy, three talented colleagues from GlobalWafers – MEMC Electronic Materials S.p.A. transformed creativity into a language of its own — interpreting the interplay of light and shadow where technology meets art.
Following the emotional abstraction of Giuseppe Barbale and the “rebirth” energy conveyed through Roberto Taglialatela’s acrylic art, the third artist — Erika Cardano — captures the delicate balance between authenticity and disguise through her refined artistic lens. 💫Born in Galliate, Italy, and a graduate of the Novara Academy of Fine Arts, Erika studied and created under the guidance of several distinguished artists, including Oronzo Mastro, Wilma Kun, Paolo Raciti, Giugi Bassani, and Carlo Tacchini. 👩🎨
Her work revolves around the theme of identity and duality —beneath the mask lies truth, yet also the self we long for others to see.
Through masks, self-portraits, cut-out images of herself, and body painting, she delicately portrays the emotions that exist between the eyes and lips — guiding viewers to look beyond conventional forms of communication and into the artist’s inner world, evoking a new visual and emotional experience. 🎭During the FAB300 opening ceremony, Erika incorporated wafer elements into her artwork. Its mirror-like sheen and layered reflections became a source of inspiration — symbolizing how, in this technological age, humanity continues to see and rediscover itself. 🔮
She shared, “The aesthetic qualities of the wafer perfectly reflect my creative philosophy — it evokes emotion, allowing me to translate inner resonance through color and form, and inviting viewers to recognize their own feelings within.” 🎨
This opening not only revealed the inner world of an artist but also showcased another dimension of technology — one that inspires creativity, connects emotion, and celebrates the harmony between innovation and humanity. 🌈
